How app and neobank cards work
In this model the balance lives inside an app. Money goes into your account, the app swaps currency when the bill is paid, and a single firm sets limits, charges and the help you get.
Each review takes the machine apart. You see the price and the perks of every tier, the way conversion and foreign-currency fees bite, the list of countries, and complaints about locked accounts and slow help.
All of that is convenient because there is one party to deal with. It is also the weak point, since that party holds the money and its licence and terms decide the result when things fail.
